Giles Sinclair, Managing Director
Giles has been working within the Recruitment and Personnel Industry since 1995. After gaining his BA Honours Degree in Business Studies from Sheffield Hallam University, Giles went on to work for Barclays Bank as a Personnel Consultant where he employed the services of Manpower for the recruitment of 60 temps on a daily basis. This led to him being offered a role with Manpower as a Consultant and within 12 months of working as a Consultant, Giles was promoted to the role of Branch Manager. He continued to develop his career as both a Business Manager and as a Consultant working initially for Manpower and then for two other major high-street recruitment companies before joining GPA in 2000.
Since joining GPA, Giles has developed excellent business relationships with his clients and has developed an impressive client base of FTSE100 companies. He has also developed an excellent client base within the public sector and has successfully managed key campaigns for numerous central and local government departments. He services a range of clients across various industry sectors supplying both permanent and interim staff and has managed major recruitment initiatives including search and advertising campaigns. Since 2005, Giles has headed up the Interim recruitment division within GPA providing added value interim resource to both private and public sector clients. He became Managing Director of the business in 2016.
Alex Steel, Senior Consultant
Alex is a highly experienced Procurement Recruitment Professional specialising in the Procurement & Supply Chain market.
She initially trained as an Executive Search Consultant with Humana International (now MRI Worldwide) where she built and developed a successful Procurement desk.
Having established success in Procurement recruitment, Alex then joined The Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply to Head up the CIPS Recruitment Executive Search Team. She continued to develop her career with CIPS, through the generation of business and on-going client/candidate relationship management and became MREC qualified before joining the GPA team in 2005.
As part of the GPA Procurement team, Alex has successfully managed a broad range of recruitment campaigns for Advertised Selection, Headhunt and Contingency based assignments and has project managed large recruitment campaigns for high profile clients within the Public Sector. Throughout her time with GPA, Alex has successfully placed numerous candidates at all levels within both the Public and private sectors. Most recently as part of a major Procurement transformation project, she has jointly supported a major recruitment programme for a major Government Department and has successfully placed key team members.
Jane Neary, Senior Consultant
Following graduation with a 2.1 (Hons) from the University of Hull in 2003, Jane pursued a career in recruitment, initially working in central London for Morgan McKinley, a leading financial services recruitment organisation. She specialised in temporary and contract work for clients such as Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital. Moving North and working for Renovo Jane’s focus shifted to permanent recruitment and she very quickly began to specialise in Procurement recruitment, working across a broad range of sectors including: FMCG, FS, Pharmaceutical , Media and Consulting, focusing on mid to senior level appointments. Roles successfully recruited include: Strategic Supplier Management, 3rd Party Risk Management, Global and Regional Category Management, P2P & eSourcing specialists up to and including Director and CPO level.
Jane joined GPA in May 2013 and she continues to help further develop the Procurement recruitment expertise of the existing team. She very quickly became a valuable member of the GPA team and continues to significantly contribute to the development of the business both in the UK and throughout Europe.
Gail Skipworth, Senior Administrator & Database Manager
Gail joined GPA in 1998 as an Administrator and since then has developed her role and now spends a significant amount of her time in direct contact with candidates. Her understanding of the Purchasing and Supply Chain profession is excellent as is her rapport with clients and candidates. When she is not liaising with clients or candidates, Gail’s principal focus is database management, making sure the GPA’s database is maintained and updated on a regular basis. Relationship management is at the heart of what we do and Gail is particularly skilled in this area. She has a genuine interest in people and places great importance in treating people with respect and professionalism.
